As the husband and wife team, Dinesh and I enjoy taking pictures at family occasions. We look forward to events where we are able to capture memories of those special family events. Whether it is a wedding, engagement, or dance arangetram, Dinesh and I are able to capture those moments that are unforgettable.

Recently, we had the pleasure of freezing frames at an engagement celebration. Unbeknownst to us, a simple engagement seemed as elaborate as a wedding. With highly sophisticated table settings and inviting decorations near the entrance, you couldn’t help but wonder whether what the wedding would be like. As the family members stood in the doorway for posed pictures, it occurred to me that although much time is spent on candid shots, the traditional posed shots are just as elegant.

At an Indian wedding or engagement, in this case, not many of the audience members sit and watch the ceremony attentively. As the priest recites prayers in Sanskrit, a language many do not understand, guests take the opportunity to catch up and chat with friends. While Dinesh is taking pictures of the main event, I am able to capture the guests “in action” so to speak. As a result, we are able to capture all aspects of the occasion. With our keen eyes and our understanding of our clients, we have the ability to deliver exactly what the client is looking for.

Someone once told me, “I chose my photographer because he exuded confidence and I knew I had nothing to worry about.”
